Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is used to select embryos that may be affected by a genetic disorder transmitted by their parents. Thus, only embryos free of such change (healthy) would be transferred to the mother.
in this case was deleted the gene that predisposes them to developing breast cancer.
PGD in cases like this news has to be approved by the National Commission of Human Reproduction ASSISTED since the late-onset disease.
In contrast, the law is clear that itself can be done without a permit especialmpara the "serious hereditary disease detection, early onset and not amenable to curative treatment postnatal under current scientific knowledge."
