Puffy Eyes More Condition_symptoms

Returning to America in 180 days

9. LOVE FOR ALL

"If anything it saves us from death, unless you save us from the love of life." Pablo Neruda

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you and then you win.". Gandhi said that in times that their struggle for the unification of love aunaba a few wise in times when it was taken over by an extremist with mental strings out of tune. Some say that the hippies and because there is no international war in Vietnam, as Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix died with their extremism and acid taste. Some people boast that hippies now, "neohippies" are a social scourge drug addict, wandering people who want but can not live outside the system and argues that a host of inconsistencies in his speeches. Say, say and tell, but few understand and fewer still attempt to do so.

The trip around Latin America took me to a commune founded by a group of Brazilian anti-capitalist paradise near a village called Arembepe, 60 kilometers from Salvador de Bahia.

1.Location Arembepe, in the state of Bahia (Brazil).

Accompanied Zoid, the same craftsman who took us to Alma and me in the slum of the capital, lived between 40 houses built of bamboo, wood and coconut palm leaves camouflaged in a deserted beach and a large lake, sometimes dry. There resist a group of convinced that there are alternatives to the social mode of life imposed by birth. A group of people who have ignored, from which they laughed, which have attacked and eventually won on the basis of love and respect.

2. The house where we were welcomed to Alma and me.

criticized as frequent independent while the nearest markets for products made with the system, the oldest hippie commune in Latin America, one that was home to Janis Joplin and the Stones, has gotten the most acpetación Salvadoran to extend his arms to anyone who wants to rest and live in peace. Want to go? You can go.

"I had spent 21 years living on this beach and everyone who wants to can stay at my house to spend the time they want," he said "El Indio", one of the most ancient of the village and lived in one of those houses in the company of monkeys, which are and are free for their little furniture. "There are some that come to those who want to stay, but at home everything is free, that is the philosophy of life that still keeps us and which have been struggling for so long," he added.

And respect means accepting that the visitor who arrives at the village to stay a few days free to come into balance with the "Pacha Mama", provided it does not bother anyone. It also means accepting that eat what you like, comes from nature directly or a chemical laboratory. Be and feel free with the only condition of respect.

3. Rest, in full peace in one corner of the village.

arrived within minutes of the evening and at that time, the "representatives" of each of the houses brought out their drums, as usual, to dismiss the day. And so immersed in one of the most beautiful rituals that I saw, I felt the magic of 40 instruments playing in unison, miles away from each other and increasing the speed as hiding rays to give thanks for live in harmony one day.

When night fell the ritual continued otherwise. And indoors, light a few candles (obviously no electricity), the show had in common. I could not refuse when one of the people gave me a djembe, or something that looked like him. And nothing more enjoyable to do, I closed my eyes and touched by that situation, leaving me still today, I can remember perfectly.

4. Percussion in the moments before sunset

And after sleeping in a relaxed state that could well be likened to the effects of the drug better, every day we went to visit Cocoa, another the oldest inhabitants of the village. And outside ya dream, coconut water, coffee and "holy ground" (or Macon in Portuguese), were food for everyone who stepped on the sand. Perhaps it was in that place where I learned and absorbed the real struggle that carry millions of people to legalize marijuana. And I do not know if I should talk about this in a public blog later dedicate a post on the awareness that a large share of Latin Americans to consume.

If another myth hippie (and true) is the free love. Distinguish the sex of love is not easy as we think, most human beings, the two concepts. Love for them is like a gift. There is a compromise that must be bound by the rest of our lives. In this case we do not speak the same thing. They have their families, their partners and children, like everyone else. Something that is not exclusive to the time to share beautiful moments with others. "Difficult? A lot. We must be very brave and understanding of love as something only to carry it out, with respect, consistency and naturalness.

5. Smoking Macon Cocoa home.

6. Cocoa in its daily session on the beach sports.

As I said before there is no electricity. Or running water. Or toilets. And kitchens. At lunchtime it is usually stocked with fish and fruit in the area itself: coconuts, bananas and shrimp (prawns in our English). All cooked, all scrub. All work with everyday tasks and the distribution is random or according to the abilities of each. They also have bowls placed throughout the municipality to collect and reuse rainwater. Each house has a well and a shower to wash strategically placed for all to see and bathrooms not to say they are also environmentally friendly. Everything is recyclable and nature gives you everything. No more.

7. Cooking shrimp stew.

8. Gathering coconuts for everyone.

9. Traditional cuisine

The rest of the time of the hippie commune Arembepe is dedicated to creativity and relaxation. Most people believe that it sells crafts to cursiosos who come to sniff. Some are musicians, painters and poets. People tired of the usual lifestyle and socially accepted by the majority of citizens but, at the same time and completely understandable, they feel part of it. People, intelligent, aspiring to a life of ease and in line with mother nature and that could well give us a civics lesson to all as I gave it to me personally.

What hippy culture no longer exists? What they're all drug addicts? Nothing to do and call it what you see fit. There is a peaceful community, bohemian and friendly environment, who believes that love is free, universal and opting for "voluntary poverty" that I both aspire and for which we must be brave as Achilles in the most major battles. People who, oh my God, live in peace. Finally, more than one got me with Zoid, with the Indian or Cocoa to check on their own as easy meat and wonderful life can be if one wants that.

Love to all!
