Last Thursday was walking Granada continuing a story on the "Law of Coexistence" and implementing it in the streets. My fellow musicians were doing theater at the Plaza Trinidad when local police arrived to ask, in a peaceful manner, the required license to act. So peaceful too, took my phone and recorded a video to record what you say, the implementation of the Law of Coexistence in the streets of Granada. Judge for yourself the importance of the issue.
One
agents, then, I was struck from behind and I asked him to stop recording. I did and had a talk about the reasons for not allowing me to record:
1. Possible defamation of the institution.
2. Can justify terrorism.
Then, making an apparent attempt to understand that I was in the exercise of my profession in the same way they gave me two options:
1. Remove the material.
2. Keep him (as long as me to undertake to hide their faces in the style "AquĆ hay tomate") knowing that my personal and professional data would at that moment to court to open a permanent studio on my work. The goal? Take appropriate action on my person if I used the images to smear against the institution, to incite terrorism or if the same images were disseminated and used by others to do so on the internet.
- What is defamation?
- there and you play it ...
Who knows? Perhaps this is considered slander. But rescue, which hurts us not to either, Article 20 of the English Constitution, the sacred book where there is:
1. Are recognized and protected rights:
a. A freely express and disseminate thoughts, ideas and opinions through words, writing or any other means of reproduction. B.
A production and literary, artistic, scientific and technical. C.
The academic freedom. D.
A freely communicate or receive truthful information by any media. The law shall regulate the right to the clause of conscience and professional secrecy in the exercise of these freedoms.
2. The exercise of these rights can not be restricted by any form of censorship previa.
3. The law shall regulate the organization and parliamentary control of the media controlled by the State or any public entity and shall guarantee access to the media of the significant social and political groups, respecting the pluralism of society and the various languages Spain.
4. These freedoms are limited by respect for the rights recognized in this Part, the provisions of the laws that develop and, especially, the right to honor, privacy, self-image and the protection of youth and children.
5. Solo may remember the seizure of publications, recordings and other media in a court order.
This means that not only have freedom of speech but can not exercise prior censorship over information "for possible defamation of the institution" let alone kidnap her without a judge ruled.
The story obviously does not work that way. The authority is the authority. So, after a touching dialogue over bullying (politely, of course) with extra material and expense to continue to build, I deleted the video before them the use of pure fear that others could do it on the network. Video out, broken data and lessons learned: do not get caught?
