Adding the spelling of specific epithet Austrofundulus Goajira is wrong, being the correct name A . guajira, and also its distribution was set for the Maracaibo Lake Basin, and its actual distribution in the xeric regions of the Guajira Peninsula (Hrbek et al . 2005), corresponding to the delimitation of the Caribbean Basin adopted by Lasso et al . (2004).
